Dungeon Crawl: Links and Loves v.2

Hey y'all, let's dive right in! Kill some monsters, steal some treasure, click some links, repeat.

Bob's Burgers in general, but in particular the season 4 episode The Equestranauts, which gracefully slays brony culture (Equesticles!). Look at all you've accomplished Tina, with your bangs and your socks. If you'd prefer an abridged brony smackdown, here's a GIF set for you.

Gail Simone on smart girls in The Simpsons. I love Simpsons discussions, and feel those Lisa feels.

Just as we were talking about communal art practice in fandom (sweet cross-promotion), a wild Sailor Moon project appears! Announced last November, MoonAnimate Make-Up! is a fan-recreated episode of the original anime (in which the girls save Tuxedo Mask, live fast die young bad girls do it well). The best part is that it features a different animator for every shot. Incredible right? Comics Alliance have a cool overview with the teaser clip, and they have a Tumblr too.

If you can get to the Tate Modern before the end of May, they've created a retrospective on the work of Richard Hamilton, one of the founding figures of pop art in London. Ft. pop, politics, mass-production, cut-outs of pin-ups doing housework.

On another continent is MOCA's show of Mike Kelley's next-gen, post-punk pop art. Even if art isn't your thing, please go and see these for me, or email if you have a glitch-free teleporter.

The film Her.  A little bit sci-fi, a little bit slice-of-life. Delicate and lovely. I recommend it.

And finally, a perfect sci-fi song. Go commit some thoughtcrimes, you little rabble-rousers:

Stay safe!
